Easily replace your Dyson battery

You can replace the battery of a Dyson vacuum cleaner quickly and easily. Is it a click-in one, visible from the large red button on the bottom? Then you don’t even need a screwdriver for that. If the battery is screwed in, then of course it is.

First, unplug the Dyson from the socket and switch off the vacuum cleaner. Then look for the three screws that need to be loosened. These are often located near the handle and on the bottom of the battery. Once these are loose, you can replace the old battery with the new one. And after you have tightened the screws again, you are done.

Tips to make a battery last longer

• Remove the vacuum cleaner from the charger once the battery is completely full.
• Make sure you don’t let the battery run down all the time. It’s best to charge the battery when it has at least 20% charge left.

• Do not always vacuum in turbo mode, only when really necessary.
• If you are not planning to use the vacuum cleaner for a long time, it is best to store it with a half-full battery, off the charger and completely switched off.

One final tip before buying your Dyson battery: pay attention to the power

The lifespan of a battery depends on the current/power. This is expressed in mAh, or milliampere per hour. The higher the mAh value, the longer you can use a fully charged battery and the longer you can vacuum each time.
