How happy you are with your Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner. It is very mobile and therefore easy to use. You can vacuum easily and ergonomically, even in places where space is limited. To be able to deliver the best performance, a powerful battery is required. This battery is susceptible to wear and tear and will need to be replaced at some point. But which battery do you buy for that? Does it have to be an original or will a house brand also suffice? And what is possible and allowed in terms of capacity and voltage? We can help you further here!
The replacement battery for your Dyson vacuum cleaner does not necessarily have to be an original. On the contrary! The batteries of our 123battery house brand meet the same quality and safety requirements and are therefore just as suitable for your Dyson. The advantage is that they are a lot cheaper and often have a larger capacity. This means that you do not have to charge your vacuum cleaner as often. The capacity of the new battery may therefore differ from the one you are replacing. However, you do have to pay attention to the voltage. This must be the same as that of the battery you are replacing.

Know when your Dyson battery needs replacing
The average lifespan of a Dyson battery is five to six years. However, it is not uncommon for a battery to need replacing sooner. If you use the vacuum cleaner intensively in turbo mode, the battery may need replacing sooner. The lifespan also depends on the type of attachment you use and the extent to which you clean the appliance. If a battery needs replacing, you will notice this by the following:
Buy the right battery and upgrade your Dyson vacuum cleaner
Great, all those Dyson stick vacuum cleaners – and therefore batteries. But which one do you need exactly for your own vacuum cleaner? First of all, you need to find out what type it is. Do you no longer have the packaging or receipt? Don’t panic! Dyson has been smart enough to stick stickers with the model number or the battery number on the vacuum cleaner. With most vacuum cleaners, you will find them on the dust container or under the battery. If the stickers are no longer legible, our customer service may be able to help you further.
Have you found the model number? Then you can easily find which battery you need on our website. The overview lists all model numbers for which we sell batteries. Do you want to search quickly? Then use the search bar. You will then get an overview of all Dyson and other suitable batteries and you can make a choice.
Easily replace your Dyson battery
You can replace the battery of a Dyson vacuum cleaner quickly and easily. Is it a click-in one, visible from the large red button on the bottom? Then you don’t even need a screwdriver for that. If the battery is screwed in, then of course it is.
First, unplug the Dyson from the socket and switch off the vacuum cleaner. Then look for the three screws that need to be loosened. These are often located near the handle and on the bottom of the battery. Once these are loose, you can replace the old battery with the new one. And after you have tightened the screws again, you are done.
Tips to make a battery last longer
One final tip before buying your Dyson battery: pay attention to the power
The lifespan of a battery depends on the current/power. This is expressed in mAh, or milliampere per hour. The higher the mAh value, the longer you can use a fully charged battery and the longer you can vacuum each time. Our 123battery private label batteries often have more power than the original Dyson batteries.
